Product Review: Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips

I got 2 packets of Sally Hansen Real Nail Polish Strips for KK late last year. I've been wanting to test them out for a while, but I wanted to make sure I had the time to do them properly because I've been old that they can be a bit tricky. 

So I was having a quite weekend and thought it would be perfect time to give them a whirl. 

I have to say they are pretty tricky. It's not so much applying them it's the pealing them off from the plastic cover and paper backing. You also really need to take your time smoothing them out and ensuring that they are on your nail properly. But overall the result was pretty good. 

I really liked knowing that once I was done my nails were dry and I didn't have to worry about smudging. I look forward to trying out the next set. Hopefully second time around they will be slightly easier to apply.

Tis the season to by jolly…

Well following on from my last post, I'm a little behind in the blogs. So even though X-Mas and New Years are behind us I thought I would share some of my X-Mas Cheer with you. 

This year I got 2 really great beauty gifts that I have been lusting after…

The 1^st amazing beauty gift that I got was the new Balenciaga L'Essence perfume. 

I have been lusting after this since I saw a sample of it back in September, so I was really happy to get it this X-Mas. If you haven't smelt it yet pop into a DJs and check it out! It's amazing (well I think it is anyway). I also love their original Paris perfume as well. Balenciaga is just an amazing brand all round.

The 2^nd amazing beauty gift I got was a pink Clarisonic Plus! 

I have been after a Clarisonic for so long but I just never had the cash to spare. So again very happy with this gift.

I also got 2 Sally Hansen Salon Effects Nail Polish Strips for my work KK. 

I got 180 Red-Y For Trouble and 320 Kitty, Kitty. Both are really great and I will more then likely do a post once I apply them to show you all.

Beauty-Box September 2011

So last month Lust Have It launched here in Australia, which was pretty exciting. And this month Beauty-Box launched it’s first beauty sample box.

I was pretty impressed. When the box showed up it was in a really cute pink postage box and the actual box was inside.

But enough about the packaging! Inside the box, the products that we got this month were pretty good. Quite a few of the products I’m looking forward to trying out/have already tired out.

 

So to break it down, this is what we got:

Shu Uemura - High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil. I was really excited to get this and I tried it last night. It was fabulous.

Sally Hansen – Everyday Strength Medium Nail File. I’ve also used this and it’s really good! I’m forever losing nail files so will have to make sure I don’t lose this one.

Marc Jacobs – Oh! Lola! LOVE this fragrance. Marc Jacobs does such great fragrances. Well really Marc does great everything. It has a lovely soft floral scent. I’m really considering getting this for summer.

Playboy – Play It Spicy Body Spray. I don’t mind this scent too much, but it’s not really my thing.

Our Beauty Treat this month was Yves Saint Laurent – Beauty Sleep. This is a serum/treatment. I haven’t tired it yet but YSL do great skincare and make-up, so I’m really looking forward to testing it out.
