I had so much fun last Monday with my Monday shoe porn I thought I would try it again. And if I had a few grand sitting around I would buy a pair of them (since they cost over 1,000 each I'm assuming a few grand wouldn't get me that many of them). Anyway check these babies out…

Dannijo goes Foot!

I’m a huge fan of Dannijo! They are amaze balls.



If you don’t know who Dannijo are you should check out their website, but in essence Dannjio are a Sister duo that create amazing, statement, OTT (over the top), high-end jewellery.

 Dannijo are teaming up with Matt Bernson to creative a line of foot jewellery, or in normal English...shoes.

How amazing do these look?!


The sad thing is you will have to wait until August to get your hands on these babies. They will be sold on the Dannijo website, the Matt Bernson website and on shopbop and will set you back $240-420.

I was having a bad week…

When I got an awesome package arrive in the mail!

So last week wasn’t great for me. I was uber stressed with uni work. I got a phone call from by bank saying my card had been used in Brazil for over $500. And work almost caused me to have a nervous breakdown. So all in all I was ready to jump off a building.

But then I got home on Friday to discover my Solestuck package had arrived with my new shoes! Nothing puts me in a good mood like an awesome pair of shoes, and this package contained 2 pairs so WOOHOO!

How awesome are the Jeffrey Campbell boxes?!?! And yes that's a really crossword!

I took an up close photo to show that there is fur on the wedge. I had no idea when I bought them that it would have fur,  how amazing!

Now I don’t mean to brag but these shoes are pretty damn awesome!

So thank you Solestuck for the amazing shoes that saved my from a 100% crappy week.

Shoes: Yep I’ve bought more…

And they are amazing! I thought I’d made the most out of my amazing tax return and buy some more shoes when I had some extra money. I know I could have put more into my savings, but what’s life without a little frosting!

Ok, on to the shoes! I did have some self-control and limited myself to 2 pairs of shoes. A friend recently told me about this amazing website called Solestruck, which was bad for me because there are about 50 pairs of shoes on this website that I want. So I thought limiting myself to 2 pairs was very good.  

The really hard part was narrowing down the selection down to 2, but I got there in the end.

And the 2 pairs I bought were…

Matiko’s Cavala. I really love these because they are a wedge and are both black and leopard print. I’m loving both wedges and leopard print at the moment. It really transforms these shoes from just another pair of black heels into something that pops! I’m already planning all the things I can wear these with…hummmm the possibilities!

Jeffrey Campbell’s Darian. I’m a little bit obsessed with Jeffery Campbells at the moment. There were about 5 pairs that I REALLY wanted to get so it was hard to narrow it down. I really love these shoes because they are just plain awesome! Metallic gold, silver weave front and sling backs…perfection!

These will look amazing in Spring/Summer and there are so many outfits these will work with. I have this really great medium/dark blue silk dress with white detailing that these are going to look amazing with. They will also look great with this amazing block color skirt that I have. I really can’t wait until they get here!

What I also love about both of these is that platforms. I absolutely love platforms! They add height without killing your feet and they also just look amazing. Anytime I’m wearing a pair I always get a compliment or comment on them.

Shoes: New Purchases!

If you read my blog (or have even just looked at the title) you will know that I love shoes. And by love I mean obsessed, in a fairly unhealthy way. I have so many pairs of shoes that they are in 3 different places in my house. My justification for having so many pairs of shoes is because a) my foot hasn’t grown since I was in year 8 (yep I have a small foot with a 6.5 shoe size) and b) you need to have variety because you never know what you are going to wear. I’ll admit that the second reason isn’t so crash hot, but it works for me!

I haven’t bought any shoes for a while, which is a big thing for me. So when I did my tax last week and discovered that I was getting a nice little sum back I thought the best thing to do with some of the money was BUY SHOES! As soon as I lodged my tax I was on the Steve Madden website looking at shoes.

Lucky for me my Aunt is in New York at the moment staying with my cousin, so I could order the shoes and send them to her place and my wonderful Aunt offered to bring them back for me. YAY!

Aren’t they amazing! I can’t wait until I get them next month and needless to say they will be featuring in some blog posts.

Shoes: What I'm Wearing Today

So one of my life mantras is ‘life is too short to wear sensible shoes’ (hence the name of my blog). However I have kind of taken this to the next level, by pretty much buying as many pairs of shoes as I possibly can. I really do love shoes!

I have featured the odd shoe every now and then in my blogs, but I think I have been under-representing shoes considering my passion for them.

As such I tried to correct this last week (see some posts HERE and HERE and HERE), and I think it’s going to become a regular update (but we shall see).

So here are the fabulous shoes I’m wearing today! YAY!

Aren’t they amazing! My outfit today is really all about the shoe. I’m wearing skinny oil-slick black jeans (they are called second skins actually lol), a black tee (shocking I know!) and an army green military style cardigan. So not the most vibrant outfit, UNTIL to see the shoes that is!

I should also add that these lovely little wedges add about 6 inches to my high, so they really do make a statement.

I also thought my awesome Chanel Black Pearl nail polish, which I’m wearing also deserved a mention.
